About Me

I'm fully-living as a working mom, photographer, designer and musician. This website is my "live resume."

I created this blogsite to document all my creative works both through my day job and my many projects.
This includes a complete list of all my blogs, LinkedIn and Yelp profiles, which I believe all portray the sort of creativity sparks that attempt to take over my head. I love to write, I love imaging, I love music... they're all what make me who I am. Even though I haven't done much of it, I look for volunteer opportunities with One Brick and have helped out at the San Francisco Food Bank a couple of times. It is my intention to continue volunteering when I have the time. I also do a few volunteer design work for non-profits events.

Life is really busy but ever productive and full of stress and love. I blog because I find some well-deserved free time to write about my activities and share them with the Internet world. On this page, I get to brag about my gear. They may not be top of the line but hey, they work just great for me and I'm able to get what I want out of them!

PHOTOGRAPHER STATS:
I roll with Canons 40D, 5D and 5DII + 50mm f/1.8, 24-70 f/2.8L, 17-40 f/4L, and 100 f/2.8L.
I have a 430 EXII flash and currently saving up for a 580 EXII. I don't really use too much artificial lighting at all, but sometimes I do need it, which is why I carry a flash.
My goal is to also have a 1Ds and possibly a 6D or 7D in my gear bag. I'd love to share those with an arsenal of wides and primes like 85mm f/1.2L, 70-200 f/2.8L.
I have been learning on my own for the most part. I love to shoot with natural lighting in natural spaces, as it just brings out the best in people. The world out there is the best studio, and I'm using as much of it as I can!
I've taken one 35mm b/w class, one photography workshop with Val Westover, and I'll be jumping on every workshop I can get.

DESIGNER STATS:
I work with a 13" Macbook -- she's old but a true workhorse.
I've done everything from web design (Dreamweaver and HTML) to graphic design: mostly for local musicians and non-profits. I don't really like Flash, but I enjoy creating Flash-based banners. Eventually, I do plan to pick up CMS-based web developing, as well as Java, Javascript and more Flash.
I create flyers for printing or web use. My applications of choice are from Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver). My trusty machine has also been used for recording my personal music demos, and for editing personal movies/videos.

MUSICIAN STATS:
I used to play in Love,dAriA and Sputterdoll. My current band is a kid-friendly project called The Little Bits. I gave up on music for a while when I had my two kids, but now some inspiration is picking up again because of them.
My gear includes American Fender Jazz bass, Ernie Ball MusicMan SUB, Gibson Grabber, SWR 350X head, Son of Bertha 1x15 cab and a Goliath Jr. 2x10 cab. For The Little Bits, I project my sound through a SWR LA 10. We use "junior-sized" equipment to make it easy to transport and it is also a part of our stage image.

DAY JOB STATS:
I spend a bulk of my work week at ABS-CBN International/The Filipino Channel, where I've been a marketing coordinator at for 6 years and counting. The best part about my job is that I get to interact with just about everyone there, even though I like being holed up in my little cubicle at times. Actually I take that back. I really love it when I get to do things away from my desk.
